We had a leisurely morning. We were up a bit late and so decided to not have breakfast. Our transfer to the Sea Cloud pickup location arrived at 11:00 and we were at the Grand Argentina hotel shortly after. After checking we enjoyed some time on the huge veranda where everyone had congregated. The view of Dubrovnik from the veranda.
They provided us with drinks but they didn’t have snacks/lunch, which we were expecting, so after a while we wandered into the adjacent restaurant for lunch.
At 3:00 they
started loading us and the luggage onto a bus for the drive to the port on the
far side of Dubrovnik. When we arrived,
they offloaded us to deal with customs.
We were in the first half of the group and they boarded us back on the
bus to take us to the COVID testing center.
Once we were tested, we walked over to the Sea Cloud. We were on board shortly after 4:00.
Our room is on the top floor and towards the front. Here is hoping that we have calm seas. Jim and Phyllis are down on the lowest deck in what was the family area. They have a really wonderful and very spacious room with a fireplace (with glowing glass “rocks” to simulate a fire), a large bathroom and a walk-in closet…much bigger than ours.
We set sail a
little before 6:00.
Lovely views as we sailed out of the harbor.
We passed a lighthouse...
This area is called Luka Gruz.
Dinner was in the former salon and dining room. There are about 46 guests out of the 64-passenger capacity. There are a number of singles so we think all the rooms are taken.
